USP CASAD3 Adapter Cable for select 1998-03 Audi Radio Applications Many Audi owners prefer to install their iPod adapters to the back of the radio instead of the prewired 13-pin CD changer plug in the trunk. The CASAD3 adapter cable is exclusive to connecting USASPEC PA10-VW, PA11-VW PA11-VW6 and DF-VW to the 20-PIN connector on the back of select 1998-Up Audi Radios. To install this cable you must remove the radio, disconnect the factory 20-pin plug and connect it to the CASAD3, connect the 20-pin plug on the CASAD3 back into the radio. The 8-pin DIN plug connects to the USASpec iPod or auxiliary input adapter. Vehicle/Radio Compatibility & Notes [Please read before purchasing this part] 1. The CASAD3 is required to connect USASPEC PA10-VW, PA11-VW, PA11-VW6 and DF-VW to the back of select 1998-05 Audi radio models listed in the pull-down menu. 2. Compatible with Audi Symphony, Symphony II, Concert, Concert II, radios. 3. The CAS-VW cable is 4 foot long and has a round 8-pin DIN Plug on one end and a rectangular 20-PIN connector on the other. (see picture) WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! 1. The CASAD3 connects to the 20-pin connector at the Audi radio. This harness DOES NOT fit the prewired 13-pin CD Changer plug in the trunk. 2. You must remove the radio to use this part. 3. For use with USASPEC products only. 4. Some late model 2002 A4 vehicles no longer have a 20-pin connector. These radios do not require the CAS-AD3.
